Energetic Nanny for Active Infant |

Position Summary

Brooklyn Manny & Nanny is partnering with a warm, professional Boerum Hill family to find an energetic, curious nanny for their baby girl, who will be just over 5 months old at the January start. She is a very active, physically advanced little one, so this role is ideal for a caregiver who loves floor play, gets outside every day, and enjoys building a rich weekly routine of enrichment and socialization. The family lives in an elevator condo building with kid-friendly amenities, including a playroom and outdoor space. There are no pets in the home and no travel is required. The family values a warm but professional working relationship and is looking for someone excited to grow with them long term.

Schedule & Location

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a possible 9:00 AM start (to be finalized). The position includes 40 guaranteed hours per week, with approximately 45 hours expected. Ideally the nanny arrives before the parents leave for work and stays until they are home. Start date: January 4, 2027. The home is in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, close to multiple subway lines, parks, libraries, and family-friendly enrichment programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive, developmentally appropriate care for an infant as she grows into toddlerhood

• Manage daily routines, including feeding, naps, and diapering

• Get out of the house every day for parks, library visits, museums, and age-appropriate classes

• Research local enrichment opportunities, such as music classes, and build a varied weekly routine

• Foster socialization by connecting with other nannies and little ones in the building and neighborhood

• Engage in active, hands-on floor play that supports gross motor and physical development

• Bring current child development research into everyday care

• Communicate clearly and consistently with parents about the day, milestones, and routines

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional childcare experience; infant experience strongly preferred (Newborn Care Specialist experience not required)

• High energy and the stamina to keep up with a very active, physically advanced infant

• Genuine curiosity and a strong interest in early childhood development

• College education or an academically driven background preferred

• Comfortable with a warm but professional working relationship

• Interest in a long-term position and growing with the family

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Strong, verifiable childcare references

• Legal authorization to work in the United States; position is paid fully on the books

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $35/hour, with flexibility for the right candidate

• 40 guaranteed hours per week, approximately 45 expected, with overtime paid at 1.5x for hours over 40 (about $86K+ annually at the starting rate)
