Overnight Newborn Care Specialist | Park Slope, Brooklyn | $45/hour

Position Overview

Brooklyn Manny & Nanny is seeking an experienced, easy-going overnight newborn care specialist for a temporary summer position with a welcoming family in Park Slope. This role provides essential overnight support for first-time parents with a newborn, working four nights per week from early July through September.

Schedule & Location

Four nights per week, 7:00 PM to 9:00 AM (14 hours per shift), July 1 - September 1, 2025 (9-week temporary position). The position is located in north Park Slope near Flatbush Avenue in a 4th floor walk-up apartment. The family has a washer/dryer in unit and one cat in the household. You will have access to a daybed and private bathroom.

Responsibilities

• Provide complete newborn care during overnight hours

• Bottle preparation and feeding

• Support the family's breastfeeding routine

• Monitor baby and recognize normal newborn behavior and development

• Handle all aspects of nighttime infant care including diaper changes, soothing, and sleep routines

• Maintain clean and organized nursery space

• Communicate effectively with parents about baby's night and any concerns

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience caring for newborns in overnight settings

• Highly knowledgeable about newborn development and care

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Go-with-the-flow, easy-going personality

• Comfortable in a home with a cat

• Able to manage 4th floor walk-up access

• Strong references from previous newborn care positions

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Compensation

• Rate: $45/hour

• Approximately 56 hours per week (4 nights × 14 hours)

• 9-week temporary position (July 1 - September 1, 2025)
