Experienced Infant Nanny | Park Slope, Brooklyn | $35-40/hour

Position Overview

Brooklyn Manny & Nanny is seeking a warm, experienced infant nanny for a welcoming family in Park Slope with a 5-month-old daughter. This long-term position offers a stable schedule with parents who value respectful communication and a collaborative approach to childcare.

Schedule & Location

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (30 hours per week). The position is located in Park Slope, Brooklyn, easily accessible by public transportation. Both parents work from home, with one parent occasionally going to the office. Start date is as soon as the right fit is found.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for 5-month-old infant

• Support mother's breastfeeding journey and assist with bottle feeding

• Take baby on walks and outings to the park

• Facilitate tummy time and age-appropriate developmental activities

• Engage baby through reading, singing, talking, and interactive play

• Handle all baby-related tasks including bottle washing and baby's laundry

• Support family's sleep training approach as baby grows

• Maintain clean and organized baby spaces

• Communicate effectively with parents about baby's day and development

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of professional infant care experience

• Current CPR and First Aid certification required

• Excellent English communication skills

• Must be comfortable working in a home where parents work from home

• Respectful of parents' wishes and parenting approach

• Laid-back, collaborative personality - not pushy or overbearing

• Knowledge of both breastfeeding support and formula feeding

• Experience supporting sleep training methods

• Strong professional references from previous positions

• Legal authorization to work in the United States
