Position Overview

Brooklyn Manny & Nanny seeks an enthusiastic, organized afterschool nanny for a warm Windsor Terrace family with three children. This position offers the unique opportunity to work collaboratively with engaged parents in managing evening routines. The ideal candidate will bring energy, organization, and a genuine team-player mentality to support this family's dynamic afterschool and evening schedule.

Schedule & Location

Monday through Thursday: 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Friday: 2:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Total: Approximately 22 hours per week (bonus points if you can come early on school days off)
Location: Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn (convenient to public transportation)

Responsibilities

• Pick up two school-age daughters from public school across the street from home

• Transport the youngest child from preschool in Gowanus

• Friday special schedule: Pick up daughters at 2:30 PM, escort via subway to after-school program in Park Slope, then collect son from preschool and bring all children home

• Assist father in completing evening routines.

• Empty and organize school backpacks daily

• Prepare school materials and supplies for the following day

• Work collaboratively with parents during evening routines using a tag-team approach (Father works from home and Mother works a hybrid schedule)

• Assist with meal preparation as needed

• Maintain organized spaces and smooth transitions throughout the evening

Requirements

• Proven experience caring for both school-age children and toddlers

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for school preparations

• Enthusiastic team player who enjoys collaborating with parents

• Comfortable with public transportation for school pickups and activities

• Ability to manage multiple children's schedules and needs simultaneously

• Experience with bedtime routines for multiple age groups

• French language skills are a wonderful bonus, but not required

• Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred

• Strong references from families with similar-aged children

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $35/hour

• Guaranteed hours for the regular schedule
