Nurturing and engaging nanny for two children | Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn | $35-45/hr

Position Overview

For our client in Carroll Gardens, we are seeking a devoted, experienced nanny who can provide exceptional care for their two children: a 5-year-old son and a 17-month-old daughter. The ideal candidate will create a stimulating, consistent environment while supporting the children's developmental milestones through creative and educational activities.

Schedule & Location

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with one weekly scheduled date night (with a later start time that day if needed). The position is located in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, with convenient access to public transportation

Responsibilities

• Ensure children's safety, health, and well-being at all times

• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster cognitive, social, and emotional development

• Manage school pick-up and transportation to extracurricular activities

• Arrange and supervise playdates and social interactions

• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks following family preferences

• Maintain children's spaces, including tidying play areas and organizing toys/books/clothes

• Assist with children's laundry and maintaining diaper bags

• Support potty training for the younger child

• Communicate effectively with parents about children's development and daily activities

• Manage or communicate needs to restock children's supplies

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional nanny experience

• Experience with preschool and toddler-aged children

• Proven ability to care for multiple children simultaneously

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Up-to-date on all required vaccinations, including COVID-19 and boosters

• Knowledge of early childhood development

• Excellent communication skills

• Reliable, punctual, and organized

• Spanish speaking skills or familiarity is a plus

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $35-45 per hour, paid gross with overtime
