Household Manager + Nanny for Toddler and One on the Way

Position Overview

We are seeking a collaborative, proactive live-in nanny to care for our energetic

3-year-old son who attends school in the mornings. This position offers the

opportunity to work alongside mom as a true partner in a warm, international family

environment. The family is planning to welcome another baby in the upcoming year,

making experience with both toddlers and infants essential. The ideal candidate is

someone who anticipates needs, takes initiative, thrives in a dynamic household, and

has a genuine interest in learning about brain development in toddlers. This unique

position includes a private, separate apartment in the Cobble Hill area and offers

exciting international travel opportunities.

Schedule & Location

40-45 hours per week. Core Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:30 AM-6:30 PM with 1-2 days

flexible to stay later (candidate can start later on these days). Located in the

beautiful Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill area with excellent public transportation

access. Live-in position with a separate private apartment provided in Cobble Hill.

Start date as soon as possible for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Childcare:

● Provide attentive, engaging care for very active toddler

● Prepare nutritious, healthy meals and snacks for child

● Manage child's laundry and maintain shared spaces tidy and functional

● Work collaboratively with mom as a true team member

● Accompany family on international travel opportunities several times per year

● Join family for approximately 4-8 weeks each summer in the

Hamptons/overseas travel (housing provided)

Household Management:

● Organize household spaces (pantry cabinets, drawers, toys, playroom)

● Book activities, manage extracurricular deadlines, appointments, and

schedule playdates

● Keep toys organized and functional (e.g., noticing frequently used toys and

moving them to accessible spots)

● Replenish food and snacks as supplies run low

● Maintain general household tidiness in shared spaces

● Drop off and pick up dry cleaning

● Anticipate family needs proactively (notice when supplies need replenishing,

handle replacements during outings)

● Take initiative and come up with ideas (research and suggest local indoor

play spots, painting studios, activities, etc.)

● Assist with household errands and daily tasks

Requirements

● Minimum 3 years professional childcare experience with BOTH infants and

toddlers required

● Confident managing very active toddlers

● Strong infant care experience (family expecting second child)

● Interest in learning about brain development in toddlers

● Proactive, independent contributor who anticipates family needs

● Happy to work collaboratively alongside parent as a team

● Strong organizational skills and household management abilities

● Comfortable with international family lifestyle and travel opportunities

● Must be willing to relocate and live in separate apartment provided in

Cobble Hill area

● Valid passport required for international travel

● Driver's license preferred (beneficial for Hamptons travel)

● CPR and First Aid certification required

● Legal authorization to work in the United States

Compensation & Benefits

● Salary: $35 per hour

● Private, separate apartment provided in Cobble Hill area (rent and utilities

included)
